Community Protection is a nationally unique service, created to tackle anti-social behaviour and environmental crime in Nottingham.
Our vision is simple- to create a safe and clean environment in every one of Nottingham's neighbourhoods.
Our unique partnership is made up of Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire Police functions, drawing on civil tools and powers and a support network of specialists, all working towards a safer and cleaner city.
Our officers provide a local presence in every neighbourhood of Nottingham and our network of specialist departments include Environmental Health and Trading Standards, so whatever the ASB or enviro-crime issue, we are equipped to help.
Our 100+ Community Protection Officers (CPO) provide a visible presence in every neighbourhood of Nottingham, working within local police beat teams to provide a friendly and fast response to neighbourhood issues.
A Rapid Response team are tasked on a hot spot basis, ready to move to an area of Nottingham to crackdown on behaviour blighting the lives of residents.
Our anti-social behaviour help line provides a 24-hour single point of contact to ensure that whatever the challenge, the call is directed to the agency who can help.

Individuals who are identified as persistent offenders are referred to Community Protection's anti-social behaviour teams who use civil enforcement tools such as Anti-Social Behaviour Orders, Injunctions and Possession Orders to crack down and control anti-social and criminal behaviour.
Community Protection has received national recognition for its innovative use of civil orders in dealing with criminal activity.
Our confidential anti-social behaviour help line, available 24 hours a day for Nottingham City residents, is there to deal with a wide range of anti-social behaviour issues such as fly-tipping, graffiti, vandalism, abandoned cars etc. Officers are dispatched to deal with the issue or customers are signposted to the relevant agency to solve their problem.
